Winter Cricket

With some of the spring-like weather we've been having a few insects have been popping up including this field cricket I found while feeding the dogs. She crawled around on my hand for a bit before I released her. Later on that night I heard quite a few chirping in the grass. That's something that one definitely doesn't expect to hear in January.
